The Teachers Collective was born in October 2018 and works with students, teachers and schools. We aim to reach 1,00,000 educators in the next 5 years and make inclusion a reality in as many classrooms as we can reach.
As special educators in a mainstream school, our co-founders Parul and Sangitha realized the power of the approach, methods, strategies and techniques that educators used to work with children who have different learning and life needs. They found that children with difficulties who received structured intervention many times did better academically than children without such diagnosed difficulties. Using whole classroom inclusive strategies, small group initiatives and internationally validated interventions like the Individualized Education Plans, they saw progress and decided that all students and classrooms needed these tools.
