The process typically consists of several key steps, guiding writers from brainstorming ideas to producing a polished final draft. Writing requires a combination of various skills to effectively convey ideas, engage readers, and communicate messages clearly.
Course Content
Defining Purpose: Defining the purpose of writing for informing, persuading, entertaining, or expressing thoughts and identifying the audience
Organization and Structure: Organizing ideas logically and structure writing to flow smoothly and making sense to the reader
Language and Style: Using appropriate language, tone, and style in a piece of writing
Word Choice: Choosing precise and vivid words to convey the intended meaning effectively, while avoiding clichés, jargon, and ambiguous language
Editing: Editing and proofreading written work, paying attention to detail to create a powerful piece of writing
