Study Skills – October Workshops
September 2021
Categories: Study Skills
Learning to Learn is a skill that is rarely developed. Many adults have fashioned their own ways of learning, mostly by trial and error and rarely understanding the rationale behind why it works.
Support your children in making the most of their textbooks and breaking down any text into understandable chunks. Help them work smart in comprehending any content they end up dealing with through internationally proven methods of studying. These methods will help them through school and college and in their careers, whether they are digesting amounts of text or in written communication.
Our workshops are hands-on and experiential in nature. Participants will learn important skills in a safe environment through activities. We aspire towards some tangible outcomes in every session, in addition to the longer term skills building in children. Our class sizes are small and we customize to an extent to the children’s needs. The skills taught cover all curricula: State/CBSE/ICSE/IGCSE/IB/NIOS. There will be two facilitators in each class.
The study skills are broken into two modules, each over three days, 1.5 hours per session. Children can sign up to one or both modules.
Module 1:
Learning structured study skills; making visual notes and learning the structure and rules behind writing for information.

Bonus session 3: Connecting to Our Roots – Interview your grandparents about public spaces and create a podcast, 12 noon to 1 pm
We bring you a different session, in association with Everyday City Lab that will help your children connect to their grandparents in a different way. Children will learn to interview their grandparents on public spaces, dabbling in oral history (a historical research method) in order to create a podcast that can be published online.
